Any help please I am getting really worried as my birds have two chicks (their first that ave hatched sucessfully), they are a week old. My problem is that my male will frantically eat the eggfood (hes seems to be the main feeder) but will only eat the black little seeds in it he wont eat anything else in the food. I have been having to go out there every hour to top up the food so he can pick out the seeds to feed the chicks. He cries for me to go out and put more food out and I quickly ran out of one brand of eggfood and have had to give another (which i slowly mixed and introduced) BIg problem as this new one hasnt got the little black seeds and hes manically pecking the food trying to find them, im afraid for the chicks, hes crying now for me to go out and bring food hes pacing up and down the perch... please help I sont know what to do.....

Are the chicks hungry? By that I mean are their crops empty?
I would think that he will feed them other seeds too, mine do, and will get used to the new food. If they aren't thriving you may be forced to hand rear but I would give the parents a good chance.
